STUART PAVILION
The Stuart Pavilion assists visitors in understanding the life of General Stuart here at Laurel Hill, as well as his life and times as the Commanding General of Calvary of the Army of Northern Virginia.
The Pavilion houses five large interpretive signs depicting the wartime exploits of General Stuart. Each sign measures 24 x 30 inches, arranged in a semi circle. The text for each sign was written by eminent historian, Robert J. Trout. The texts are complemented by the paintings of such renowned artists as Charles Hoffbauer, Don Troiani, Dall Gallon, and John Paul Strain. The floor consists of brick pavers with a post supported roof over the entire area.
With each $50.00 contribution you help us to enhance Laurel Hill. Your name, the name of a loved one or the name of a Civil War ancestor. Whatever your choice may be, it has a place in our floor for the future. Bricks will be ordered twice per year, April 30th and October 30th.
Thank you for your participation.
